Information available to BBC Pulse is that the Ghana Education Service (GES) has received financial clearance to recruit newly trained teachers.
The information, which was not officially confirmed states that GES received the financial clearance from Ghana’s Financial Ministry in order to employ newly trained teachers from the 46 public Colleges of Education.
Confirmation of Financial Clearance
Verifying to confirm the authenticity of the information, front desk of bbcpulse.com reached the Public Relations Officer of Ministry of Education, Mr. Kwasi Kwarteng, which he confirmed.
The graduates, who have been at home for about five months unemployed are the first batch of Degree Programme which was introduced by the new College of Education Reform.
This most current enlistment practice by the GES targets just prepared educators from the Public College of Education who graduated in the year 2022 with First Degree.
The Public Relations Officer of the ministry of education has stated in a post that ”Government has granted financial clearance to the Ghana Education Service (GES) for the recruitment of the 2022 batch of graduates from Colleges of Education”.
Per the above affirmation and all we have gathered, financial clearance for the recruitment of newly trained teachers have been released but awaiting official publication from the relevant stakeholders.
What Happens Next
After the release of financial clearance, the Ghana Education Service will then open its portal for application process to begin. Qualified newly trained teachers, who graduated from college in 2022 will have to apply by entering required details for recruitment.
